The fierce competition in the area, but also the lack of flair and interest of the cottage administrators made the business go worse and worse. And when the siblings of the former owners claimed it, the business was abandoned in 2005.The culmination is that the current owner pays his taxes regularly, but ignores all the summonses related to the precarious condition of the building.

Chalet Dâmbul Morii was, in the '70s and' 80s, one of the most popular places of rest in Brasov, equally appreciated by tourists and locals. Now it is only a ruin, and the charm of the place has remained only in the memory of hundreds of thousands of guests.

The building was erected in the first half of the last century. After coming to power, the Communists nationalized it and handed it over to the Interior Ministry. After other years, the building reached the former Brasov People's Council, then was managed by various tourism companies in Predeal. What is certain is that there is not a 30-year-old from Brasov who did not enjoy the charm of the Dâmbul Morii chalet at least once.
