Genever, or Jenever, is a very old and classic spirit that was super popular in the U.S prior to Prohibition which also eventually evolved into Modern London Dry Gin. Genever is a spirit that has been made in Holland and Belgium since the middle ages and was incredibly important in early American cocktail culture. In this video I go over What is Genever, Where it comes from, and some of the great classic cocktails to make with Genever.
