Tips on finding an apartment in France – Finding an apartment in France as a foreigner is often (though not always!) difficult. This is because French landlords are usually looking for a specific type of tenant, and they require LOTS of paperwork that foreigners just don’t easily have access to.
That being said, finding an apartment in France isn’t impossible. Just a few years ago, I learned how to rent an apartment in France when I accepted an offer to teach English in a French high school. Not only did I learn about the process of finding an apartment in France as an American, but with a monthly salary of less than 800 euros, I also figured out how to find cheap accommodations in France.
Now, as I prepare to move back this fall, I’m figuring out in real time how to find an apartment in France after the pandemic. And I want to share all my insights with you!
