Malvani Chicken Curry For The Weekend !
A simple yet flavourful Chicken Curry that you will love especially if you love spicy Malvani food .

Ingredients
For the Chicken Marination
500 Gm Chicken With Bone
For the green masala
3 green chillies
5-6 garlic cloves
1 small piece of ginger
2 tbsp chopped coriander
1/4 cup water

2 tbsp malvani masala
2 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
2 tsp salt

For the onion & coconut Masala
1 cup sliced onions
1/2 cup grated coconut
1/2 cup water
Other ingredients
5-6 tbsp Oil
1/4 cup chopped onions
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 1/2 tsp malvani masala
1 tsp Kashmiri chillli powder
700 ml hot Water (add accordingly)
Salt to taste
1 tbsp chopped coriander to finish.
Method
1. Wash the chicken & keep aside, now take all the ingredients for the green masala in a mixer grinder jar, add some wtaer & grind to a paste.
2. Add this to the chicken along with the other spice powders & salt, mix well & marinade this in the fridge for 30-45 mins.
3. Now lets prepare the Vatan, heat oil in a kadai & fry the sliced onions & grted coconut on medium heat for 7-8 mins till nice and golden, take this out into a bowl, add some water, let cool down & grind to a paste.
4. Now in another kadai, heat oil & fry the chopped onions along with some ginger garlic paste, fry till the onions starts to brown, then add in the malvani masala & chilli powder and fry this for 30-40 second on low heat.
5. Next add the onions & coconut paste we had made and fry this for 5-6 mins till the masala dries up, now add in the chicken ad mix well & fry for another 2-3 mins.
6. Finally add the hot weather & adjust the consistency to a thin curry.
7. Cover and let this simmer on medium low heat for 15-18 mins .
8. Once the oils separate and float to the surface finish this with some chopped coriander rand its ready to serve.
9. Serve hot with chapati, rice or bhakri.
