Today, there are many women who for a variety of reasons have taken it upon themselves to feed their families off the land in their own urban backyards. In this episode, we visit several such women who not only have the goal of feeding their families healthy, sustainable food, but are also teaching others to do the same. From a trained chef educating virtually with a massive online audience to a permaculture pioneer who shares her vision one garden at a time through classes as well as design and installations throughout the Pacific Northwest, it’s all about living off the land while living in the city.
