The first part of two presentations which provide some insights into the Cambrian rocks, stratigraphy and palaeontology of Morocco. This first part offers introductory data for people who are not very familiar with the region and the Cambrian on a global scale. It then presents a narrative of the early history of research on the Cambrian in Morocco, and finally offers data on the stratigraphy, depositional history of the Meseta Region and the Tamlelt Inlier of the eastern High Atlas.
