Heather Stefanson delivers remarks after winning the Manitoba Progressive Conservative leadership at the party’s convention in Winnipeg. Stefanson, who defeated rival candidate Shelly Glover, becomes premier of Manitoba and will succeed Kelvin Goertzen, the outgoing premier and interim leader of the PCs. Goertzen was selected by the government caucus to take over from Brian Pallister, who stepped down as premier in September.
