Amid violent protests in Bangladesh, two Hindu councillors were reportedly shot dead. ISKCON and Kali temples were also reportedly targeted, forcing devotees to seek shelter. On July 04, a wave of violent protests erupted across Bangladesh, and at least 98 people were killed. Since the anti-quota protests began, around 300 people have reportedly been killed in the country. Amid the fresh wave of attacks, PM Sheikh Hasina also resigned from her post and fled the country. Hasina left Dhaka along with her sister and is likely to reach India amid country’s volatile situation. Notably, Bangladesh’s Army gave an ultimatum of 45 minutes to Hasina to resign from her post. Once she left the country, Bangladesh Army chief Gen Waker-Uz-Zaman said that they will help form interim government.
