Thomas Ian Nicholas, you know him from "American Pie", and grew up with him in "Radio Flyer", "Rookie of the Year" and "A Kid in King Arthur's Court", he is also a huge nerd, and really one of us. Thomas is circulating the convention circuit currently with Lani Sarem, the author of the controversial (do your own research for more info) NYT best selling book ""Handbook for Mortals". They are doing grassroots marketing for the book directly to their intended audience though these convention appearances, with Thomas ultimately planning to produce and star in a film adaptation of the property.
And fun fact, yours truly is the one whom correctly answers their trivia challenge. The prize ended up a nice hard copy of her book signed and personalized by both of them at their booth. Really nice people, and he was certainly making the most of being at a convention, I saw him all over the place participating in a variety of things the con had to offer, and I believe he even did an acoustic performance on the entertainment stage... Not to mention he seriously was the last celebrity to man a booth most days. He wasn't really on my fandom radar much before this, but he is now. Glad to have met them.
