Boni-Bel Farm & Country Store is just down the road from our Brewster Campus, and it’s an extension of our nature-based curriculum. Each season at Boni-Bel offers hands-on learning opportunities to Green Chimneys School students through class visits, after school programing, and vocational training. Our children, many of whom struggle with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, feel purposeful at Boni-Bel. Students are a part of the growing process here, and from those experiences, skills and confidence sprout. They help till the land and harvest crops. They tend to the chickens and prep eggs for sale. Students also stock the farm stand and track the inventory of items sold at the country store. They learn about the retail side of the business. And most of all, students experience success. We are truly grateful to our neighbors and those who travel to shop for specialty gifts and fresh organic produce.
