The dumbbell incline press is a great unilateral exercise which allows you to target the upper portion of your pectorals and your anterior deltoids, while ensuring both sides of the body develop evenly. Watch our Personal Trainer for how to perform an incline dumbbell press.
1. Set a bench to 30 - 45 degrees
2. Lay on the bench holding a dumbbell in each hand just outside of your shoulders, elbows below your ribs, and feet flat on the floor
3. Press the dumbbells towards ceiling by extending your arms above your shoulders
4. As you reach the top of the movement, the dumbbells should come closer together, but not be touching
5. Lower the dumbbells by reversing the movement until the dumbbells are slightly above your shoulders and elbows are pointing towards the floor
6. Repeat
