The contractors of the BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike) have stopped working on all the ongoing projects and maintenance works in Bengaluru for protesting against the civic body for not clearing outstanding bills for work that has already been done. Further, the contractors are on strike and met the Governor alleging the Government and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar for corruption and demanding 10-15 % commission to pass the payments.
