Our self-produced and filmed cover version of the truly excellent "Oxford Comma" by one of our very favourite bands, the unique Vampire Weekend.
Recorded in our home studio. From their eponymous 2008 debut album, it is
definitely one of the most original and brilliant songs to be released in the last 20 years, with a sound that perhaps owes more to traditional African music than rock and roll.
Once again we have produced a film clip, something which was just a very
enjoyable process, and the end result is basically an amalgamation of
ridiculous antics and abstract footage, filmed on an unchracteristically
sunny winter's day to reflect the song's feel. A film grain filter was
used, and the video did require an extensive amount of editing to produce
the final version, and I am incredibly pleased with how it worked out, it
just exudes fun and happiness, much like the song.
Personnel -
Sam - Organ, Lead Guitar, Lead Vocals, Vocal Harmonies, Film Concept
Isaac - Bass Guitar
Sebastian - Drums, Sombrero
We hope you enjoy something that was very fun to make!
Once again thanks to our sister for doing the final panned shot for the
film clip.
THANKYOU!
