Training methods used in Positive Reinforcement Training (shared from HealthyHoundz.com)
Method #1
Luring is when you guide your dog by holding a treat in front of their nose.
The dog’s body follows their nose
It’s important to fade out the food lure as soon as you can, or the dog will only perform the behavior when they have a treat in front of their nose.
It's also very important not to lure your dog to do something that is worrisome or scary to them.

Method #2
Shaping is when you break down a behavior into easily achievable steps, and reward your dog for making small steps towards the desired end result.
It helps dogs problem solve instead of waiting for direction from their parent

Method #3
Capturing is when you teach your dog to perform a natural behavior on cue.
You simply wait for your dog to perform the behavior without any prompting or guidance from you, and mark and reward them immediately afterwards.
