Audi A6C6 never had an option for a front camera, good news is that with a bit of DIY effort you can easily add one.
My dedicated A6C6 Android Head Unit has only one camera input so I had to use splitter to connect more than a reverse camera. If you can, just get Android Head Unit with 360 view, but If your head unit is similar to mine, you can get an inspiration how to add more cameras - the splitter supports up to 4 cameras.
Trigger for front camera can be done in many ways, whatever works for you, button or anything, as of now I have connected it to break lights so front camera turns on when I press breaks ( I have rear LED lights so had to use relay to get the power, same as with non OEM reverse camera ).
To add a 10 sec delay for switching cam off I plan to use Time Delay Relay NE555 (not added yet)
No need to take off front bumper to mount the camera, I had it off while doing some other stuff.
DIYKIT 4 Cameras In 1 Video Control Image Combiner video:
-Video output connect to android input (cinch)
-Android "REVERSE" trigger line connected to the DIY kit steering cable
Relay connection:
-30 - +12V from the fusebox / battery
-86 - ground
-85 - break lights signal (for me was red with yellow stripe in LED lights)
-87 - power to camera
ACC power for splitter taken from driver side fuse box.
Single camera support has some challenges. Because reverse camera has mirrored image I had to replace reverse camera with possibility to control mirror image by cutting one of small cables attached to the camera cable and then set on android settings "mirror image". All the camera settings are set for all cameras like parking lines.
