Spain worries about austerity plan## Many Spaniards worry about the economic crisis and their government's austerity plan to ease it. Al Goodman reports.## Spain has 20 percent unemployment and the Socialist government has an austerity plan that includes a freeze on most pensions, salary reductions for government workers, a decline in infrastruture development. There are also new rules making it easier for companies to lay off workers and there's talk about raising the retirement age to protect pensions. The economic crisis has left the Socialist government trailing badly in opinion polls to the conservative opposition, with elections due in less than 2 years.
