In spring I've planted the Persicaria virginiana 'Brushstrokes', a variety that you don't see very often. It instantly became my favorite Persicaria in our garden. The beautiful velvety foliage is twice as big as 'Painters Palette', another striking Persicaria...

I didn't grow that quick and it really well behaved in the garden, didn't produce any runners. It was also drought and heath resistant this extreme summer. Grows best in semi-shade!
