If you see a talk dark creature that is smoking while sitting on a tree, don’t go near it. This creature is called a Kapre, which is a dark and huge tree demon in Filipino folklore/Philippine mythology that smokes while sitting on trees. While the Kapre is not necessarily considered as evil, the Kapre are said to trick people to get them lost in the woods, or worse, the Kapre might become enraged and crush everything in its path. Apparently, even Kapre need love. And if the Kapre is interested in you, they will stalk you, jumping from tree to tree, observing you for the rest of your life.
