The Dream of a Church - a documentary for MCSPA (Benga Parish) in Malawi

For many of the Christians in Benga, Malawi, the idea of having a church in their region was nothing more than a dream. In fact, many only had the opportunity to attend mass once a year.

However, after much effort, prayers, and contributions from the Missionary Community of Saint Paul the Apostle (MCSPA) as well as the locals, a new parish church in Benga finally became a reality, bringing people together in faith and joy.

About this production:
In May 2014, we set out to tell the stories of an international community of Priests and Laity from the MCSPA, who would leave home and family to bring the light of love to those in need.

Three years later in 2017, we returned again to Malawi to document the progress of Benga Mission in Malawi, and the opening of a new parish church that has become the centre and wellspring of hope for the people.

We are once again grateful for the generous support of donors who helped pave the way for our trip to capture these amazing stories.
