BJP workers allegedly attacked Vamshichand Reddy; Pilot Rohit Reddy has sought police protection alleging TRS workers attacked his house.
Congress candidate from Kalwakurthy Assembly constituency Ch. Vamshichand Reddy was injured when he was allegedly attacked by BJP cadres in Amangal mandal of Nagarkurnool district on Friday.
According to reports, Mr. Reddy visited the polling booth in Jangareddypalli, when BJP workers allegedly pelted stones at him. The Congress nominee fell down and suffered bleeding injuries. He was rushed to Primary Health Centre at Amangal, and later shifted to NIMS. The doctors at the Amangal PHC reportedly refused to treat him.
Senior Congress leader Jaipal Reddy visited NIMS and spoke to Mr. Vamshichand Reddy's wife Ashlesha. Former APCC chief V. Hanumantha Rao also called on the injured Congress leader.
