Ciao a tutti!
Apologies for the delay in uploading the video, I know, I have no excuses!
This is a very basic tutorial. I am sure most of you know how to cook pasta al dente but for those who are not sure here are some easy guidelines to cook pasta like an Italian!
***Tip for you: You can use any kind of pasta, the most important thing to remember is to cook it for 2 minutes less than indicated on the packet***
-------------------------------------------------------------
Ingredients:
Large pot filled with hot water - the larger the pot the better
Pasta to taste
Salt to taste
Method:
Bring the water to a rolling boil
Salt it to taste
Toss in the pasta
Important: Cook the pasta for 2 minutes less than is indicated on the packet (set up a timer if needed). I used spaghetti here but you can use any kind of pasta - penne, lasagne, fusilli, just check the cooking time on the packet.
Drain the pasta as soon as the time is up, don't let it sit in the pot, and finish the preparation by adding a sauce of your choice - pesto, tomato sauce, marinara, amatriciana...
If you cook spaghetti, do not use the colander. You want to retain some liquid to act or add to sauce.Use a serving spoon to drain as I did in the video.
Pasta cooked al dente should be slightly resistant to the bite.
