Hi Guys! Welcome back to my channel.
I’d like to share my third #TravelDays Video with you.
This time I’ve visited Poland’s second largest city Krakow in November 2019.
Krakow is one of the cheapest cities - if not the cheapest city I’ve ever visited in Europe. It is known for its beautiful Old Town located in the middle of the city, surrounded by beautiful parks and the city’s medieval walls, for its artistic Jewish Quarter and much more!
You'll find all the places I have visited in my video.
Let’s start with the Old Town of Krakow: The medieval old town of Krakow is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The main square, which is in the Old Town, is surrounded by historic churches & townhouses, like the gothic St. Mary’s church, which is a roman-catholic basilica and one of Krakow’s landmarks for its history, architecture and art treasures.
Rynek Glowny, which is the center of the old town, is Europe’s largest market square. The center of the square is dominated by the Cloth Hall (Sukiennice).
The Florian’s Gate is the last surviving city gate of the Krakow city wall. Next to the Florian’s Gate is the Barbican, considered the largest surviving Barbican in Europe.
The highlight of our trip was Wawel Castle. It is a castle residence in the center of Krakow and was the residence of the Polish King. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1978.
Last but not least, we’ve visited Kazimierz. Today known as the Jewish Quarter of Krakow, it is popular for its inspiring street arts, bars and pubs, galleries, vintage shops and much more. It is definitely worth the hype!
