Soil base saturation percentage 💥
This week, I’ll be taking you below the soil surface to show you just how important soil base saturation is and its contribution to the soil / soil biology / plant and animal interactions 👏
The base saturation percentage is the percentage of each of the positively charged plant nutrients; referred to as ‘cations’ that are bound to the negatively charged exchange sites of the soil particles. The six cation minerals reported on Brookside Laboratories soil tests are Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, Sodium, Aluminium and Hydrogen 👨🔬
