If Russia would take controll of this tiny strip of land it will isolate the three baltic states: Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia from the rest of NATO and they will become an easy pray for the Russian Federation.

This is NATO’s most vulnerable point !
This 104 km long strip of land called Suwalki Gap, connects Russia’s Kaliningrad oblast to Belarus and determine the Poland-Lithuania border.
This may look like a big weakness for Russia as NATO can anytime cut of the access through the Suwalki Gap, but this will be an extremely difficult job as Belarus will certainly help Russia in any kind of conflict and Kaliningrad is a highly militarized region, those two will be able to defend the Gap from East and West.
Actually the Suwalki Gap is a strategic weakness for NATO. If Russia will take the Suwalki Gap, this will lead to a complete isolation of the Baltic states from the rest of NATO which will make them an easy prey for Russia.
The only way for NATO to supply the Baltic states will be through the Baltic sea, but the Russian navy located in Kaliningrad and Saint Petersburg will make this task almost an impossible one.
Since the Crimea invasion in 2014, NATO increased it’s military forces in the region and intensified it’s exercises for defending the Suwalki Gap, but still
