Hollywood loves to humble strong female leads. From Sandra bullock to Julia Roberts to Miranda Hobbs and Steve . We love to see a successful woman suffer for her success and date down and settle for a man way beneath her bc he’s nice compared to the other men. Romcoms are often written by men for women to consume. This is another example of a seemingly cute love story reliving the worst message. Hublming women is the point of so many romcoms. Don’t fall for it!
