A day before the vote counting in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging him to take action against apps, web platforms, APKs, Telegram channels, Instagram accounts, and URLs associated with the ""illegal business of online betting.""
In the two-page letter, CM Baghel highlighted that illegal betting has become a nationwide enterprise, operated from abroad by specific individuals and interest groups. He further requested PM Modi to initiate measures to curb the illegal flow of money from the accounts of those involved in running online betting apps.
Within the letter, CM Bhaghel also detailed the actions undertaken by the Chhattisgarh police in relation to online betting apps.
