Hi,
in this video, we talk about howto repair the FRP Pipe step by Step Procedure.
Simplified Procedure: -
1. Proper isolation.
2. Drain the pipelines water.
3. Cut and remove the broken piece.
4. Make and keep ready the spool piece (Measure and maintain the minimum gap of 2 mm to 5 mm on both sides).
5. Install and make align the spool piece.
6. Fill the gap of 2 to 5mm on both side by putty.
7. Let it get dry for 10 minutes.
8. Mix and keep it ready resin with catalyst (Example 1 liter of Resin with 10 milli liter of catalyst at temp of 30 degree).
9. Apply the mixer on the joints around 300 to 350 mm length.
10. Wrap on the joints with fiber glass tissue paper 12” again apply mixer and wrap with Hybrid white innegra and fiber glass reinforcement tape (4”). This is for tightening the fiber tissues.
11. Again, apply mixer and wrap with fiber glass tissue paper (12”).
12. Again, apply mixer and wrap with fiber tape 3”) and this is for the final tightening and also coating.
13. Let it dry for 7 to 8 hours.
14. Re tighten the flange bolts if any flange connection,
15. You can pressurize the pipe.
