Brief History:

The Maritime Aquarium IMAX Theater @ Norwalk, CT opened in 1988. it has been running 15/70mm films since then. Theater showed documentaries and Hollywood Features. In 2016 TMA announced the IMAX theater will be closing to accommodate a construction project happening in the area. In 2019 a date of January 2021 was announced for when the theater will close. In March 2020, the pandemic hit forcing the theater like many industries and businesses to close for months and unattended. In the fall of 2020 I was hired to go into the booth to assess and revive the IMAX equipment with the help of Technicians from IMAX. TMA layed out a final seven week schedule of archival IMAX Documentaries as a final celebration and goodbye to the theater. I was the Last and Only Projectionist to run all the shows for seven weeks until the theater closed its doors on January 19th, 2021
