Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is addressing media while taking stock of the declined economy after the COVID-19 wave. She briefs on the steps taken by the Central Government to boost the economy and also explains the benefits of Rozgar Yojana. FM further stated that ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana will incentivise the creation of new jobs’
Under the Rozgar Yojana, new employees will get hired by EPFO-registered organizations to get benefits during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Central Government will give subsidy by way of EPF contributions for two years in respect of newly eligible employees. The subsidy will be credited upfront in Aadhaar-seeded EPFO accounts.
