Carver A. Mead, Ph.D., Moore Professor of Engineering & Applied Science, Emeritus, Caltech, presents, “The History of VLSI,” at the University of Washington on February 1, 2011.
This talk was given on the occasion of Dr. Michael Hochberg's launch of OpSIS, a silicon photonics foundry patterned after MOSIS (Metal Oxide Semiconductor Implementation Service). Dr. Hochberg, a Caltech alumnus (BS ’02, MS ’05, PhD ’06) and a former Electrical Engineering faculty member at University of Washington, introduces Carver Mead.
