**Update 2** Toyota has fixed the problem with the gas tank!! If you are still experiencing issues please call your dealer and let them know about your gas tank issue. If they act like there is no fix then reference Customer Support Program 20TE04. This program is directly from Toyota. All cars experiencing this issue are covered and all dealerships must fix the issue.

The 2019/2020 RAV-4 hybrid gas tank issue is wide spread for all hybrid owners. I wanted to put this video out so that people could make an informed decision on whether this is a deal breaker for you or not when considering buying the new RAV-4 Hybrids.

Most Toyota Sales Reps do not know about the issue but the Toyota Technicians and Toyota themselves do know this is a wide spread issue. Its been about 6-8 months since Toyota has been aware of the issue and has no solution for the Gas tank yet. This very well could be a safety issue if it involves the pressurization of the gas tank or the vapor line not properly working. Toyota will not tell us anything but "they are actively working on trying to solve the issue." I hope its not a safety issue and just impacts the range. If that is the case then I'm still very happy with my purchase.
