A new documentary about popular actress Nayanthara, titled ‘Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale’, is set to release on Netflix on November 18, 2024. However, it is facing a major issue before its release.

In his legal notice, Dhanush accused Nayanthara of using copyrighted content from his film without permission. He has demanded that she pay ₹10 crores within 24 hours or face legal action.

Nayanthara responded to the notice by posting a letter on social media. In the letter, she explained how Dhanush’s actions were affecting her documentary and the people who worked on it.

Nayanthara's Response:

- Nayanthara said that Dhanush’s attitude was making things difficult not only for her but also for her team and those who had been working on the documentary for a long time.
- She mentioned that Naanum Rowdy Dhaan was a very important film in her career, and she had hoped to include it in the documentary. But because of Dhanush’s decision, she would no longer be able to do so.
- She also revealed that she and her team had tried multiple times to get permission (NOC) from Dhanush to use clips, photos, and songs from the film, but they did not receive a proper response.
- Nayanthara expressed shock when they received the legal notice about the trailer and said that Dhanush didn’t allow them to use clips they had already recorded.
- She called Dhanush’s actions “cheap” and said she was disappointed because his behavior was not the same as the image he portrays in his films.
- Finally, Nayanthara assured her followers that she would handle the legal notice in the proper legal way.

While many people are supporting Nayanthara in this situation, others believe it is also important to hear Dhanush’s side of the story. Copyright laws are serious, and Dhanush’s claim could be valid if the clip was used without proper permission.

As of now, Nayanthara and her team are working on editing the documentary to remove the disputed clip. The situation is still ongoing, and it remains to be seen how it will be resolved.
