If you suddenly come across the error "Couldn't download – Virus scan failed" while using Chrome, the browser cache must be at fault and you should clear the cache. Additionally, you may want to employ Chrome's "Clean up computer" feature, disable the antivirus program, reset Chrome's settings to default and so on.
