There's something completely surreal about seeing a rocket launch in person. They look exactly like you see on the picture box, but it's right there. There's so much buildup in the days before, so much anticipation for it to go up, and then after just a couple minutes, it's gone. It's surreal.
This was from a shot I took of the Orbital ATK #OA9 #Antares #Cygnus launch last Monday (May 21st) from Wallops Flight Facility to resupply the International Space Station!
I feel incredibly fortunate to have seen two launches in as many months! The next launch I'm planning on going to is the Parker Solar Probe launch (NET July 31st).
