Radish cake or Lo Bak Go is a dim sum favourite, and it's packed full of umami flavours! When it's pan fried like this, a crispy outer skin is created and the inside stays nice and soft. So irresistible! ✨
🍄 Ingredients:
Vegan Radish Cake (Lo Bak Go)
Makes a 8 x 10in cake
1kg white radish (daikon)
8 dried shiitake mushrooms, soaked in hot water and diced
2 red onions, diced
4 cloves garlic, diced
2 - 3 stalks spring onions or scallions, sliced
1 cup plant based mince or tofu crumbles (recipe on my YouTube channel)
1 - 2 tbsp neutral vegetable oil
1 tsp sugar
1.5 tsp white pepper
1 vegetable stock cube
1.5 tbsp vegetarian oyster sauce
Salt to taste
200g regular rice flour (not glutinous)
375ml water (mix with the water from soaking the shiitake mushrooms)
