A person died after being shot on the south side of Columbus on Tuesday night.
Columbus police said the shooting happened in the 1000 block of Parsons Avenue around 10:45 p.m.
Officers found a person suffering from a gunshot wound who was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:51 p.m.
CPD spokesman Sgt. Joe Albert said one person had been detained but didn't call that person a suspect.
