This webcast serves as a pre-conference session ahead of the 2018 Online KT Conference and provides an overview of basic information about knowledge translation (KT) for participants who are new to the field, and a review for those with more experience. The presentation will focus on practices that help move research to impact. The Co-produced Pathway to Impact framework will introduce the role of stakeholders and research partners, KT planning, co-production (integrated KT), dissemination (end of grant KT) as well as research impact and impact assessment. Real life examples and interactive elements will reinforce the KT concepts throughout the webcast.
This webcast was developed in collaboration with the KTER Center’s Employment Research Outreach Team (EROT). KTER’s EROT consists of knowledge translation and research staff from NIDILRR-funded projects who work in disability and employment research. This team collaborates with KTER Center staff to identify the pressing needs of fellow NIDILRR grantees in the employment portfolio. The KTER’s EROT determined that it is important for NIDILRR grantees to measure project outcomes, demonstrate use of our work, and promote projects’ sustainability after our funding ends.
