A massive, juvenile salmon kill is currently unfolding in real time on the Klamath River. Yurok Fisheries Department disease monitors are encountering large numbers of dead and dying fish every day. The massive fish kill is a result of the drought and poor water management decisions made last year. It is also a sign that the current approach to managing water on the Klamath is no longer working.
