Simple easy, versatile effective using water proof (this is key...water proof over water resistant) materials that keep this fly light during casting (without the split shot). Change up the colours of the predator fibre accordingly to the prey you are trying to match. This pattern of course can be fishing in less than a foot of water or as deep as you like by adding split shot to the hook shank and increasing or decreasing your leader length.
