Sypnosis: Abstract
The webinar aims to share about latest sepsis management and how to monitor the unpredictable hemodynamics in sepsis patients. Most of the current sepsis recommendations are mainly suitable for high-income countries. This webinar also aims to share some simple tips on how to management sepsis patients in a very limited resource setting, especially in low- and middle-income countries. It is suitable for Specialist, Medical Officer, House Officer, Paramedic, Nursing and etc who wish to know more about sepsis.
Background of Speaker
Associate Professor Dr. Tan Toh Leong and Consultant Emergency Physician currently working at the Department of Emergency Medicine, Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Center. He is the current President and Founder of the Malaysian Sepsis Alliance and Steering Committee for Asia Pacific Sepsis Alliance Internationally. He is an early career researcher with a strong academic record that includes over 70 publications, 6 books, numerous scholarships and awards, and funding totaling over RM1 Million. He is also a well-known peer reviewer for many high impact Q1 journals. He is deeply involved in research and his interest is in sepsis, infection, emergency critical care, translational research, point-of-care test, molecular biology, and antibiotic stewardship. He is now working closely with WHO and Global Sepsis Alliance, aim to create a world free of sepsis.
