Here are some highlights of a flight I took between Southampton and the Channel Island of Guernsey on 24/07/2023.
The airline is Blue Islands. They now code-share with Aurigny and Loganair. Whoever you book with, the morning flights are run by Aurigny and the evening flights by Blue Island.
The aircraft was ATR 72-500 G-ISLM, which started off with Kingfisher Air and Pegasus Airlines in India. It was new in 2007 and came to Blue Islands in 2018.
A very nice and friendly flight (pilot and attendants were lovely), which ended in an engine test on the stand (it was the last flight until the next day).
We got great views of Sark and Brecqhou, as well as a clear run into Guernsey from the East. Although it was cloudy, we had a really pleasant flight surfing along between different levels of cloud.
