Niagara Falls is a stunning natural wonder located on the border between the United States (New York) and Canada (Ontario). It consists of three waterfalls: Horseshoe Falls, the largest and most iconic, which is primarily located on the Canadian side, and American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls, situated on the U.S. side.
The falls were formed around 12,000 years ago as glaciers from the Ice Age retreated, carving out the Niagara River and creating the majestic cascades we see today. With an average flow rate of 85,000 cubic feet of water per second, Horseshoe Falls is the most powerful waterfall in North America.
Niagara Falls has become one of the world’s most visited tourist attractions, drawing millions each year to experience its awe-inspiring beauty and take part in activities such as boat tours, scenic viewing platforms, and even nighttime illuminations.
