2009 Pep Boys Auto 500

The 2009 Pep Boys Auto 500 was the first running of the Labor Day edition of the Fall Atlanta race. It was moved from October (which was moved from the season finale spot in 2002). This was also the first scheduled Cup night race at Atlanta; many races in the past have run under the lights, notably the 1998 and the 2002 NAPA 500s. I also noticed 'Full Throttle' (ESPN's lame attempt at FOX's Crank It Up) @ 13:39. I didn't like it because it mixed spotter/crew chief radio with the car noise and it was just one big cluster. I guess when Dr. Jerry Punch left the booth in 2010, he took 'Full Throttle' with him cause I haven't seen this segment since 2009. Also note Kurt Busch pissed off again at 1:17:12.
I apologize in advance about this condensed version and all of the skips; I was trying to squeeze this on one tape. The tape cuts off before the victory lane interview. Again, I was still using VCRs at this point, so the quality isn't as good as other '09 races but I just wanted to share this to those who haven't seen this yet.
