Growing up in a middle-class neighborhood in Long Island, New York, Ray Dalio started playing the stock markets at age 12. During this period, he caddied for golfers and got tips from them. It was no surprise he decided to launch Bridgewater from his two-bedroom apartment in New York City. A company that currently manages $154 billion in assets. And to imagine he started this momentous company after graduating from the Harvard Business School in 1975 with an MBA at a very young age.
