Braunfels castle is a fantastic looking castle on top of a hill above the old town of Braunfels, which is about 10km from Wetzlar in Hessen, Germany.
One can look around the outside of the castle and for a few euros take a tour around the rooms inside, which I can recommend. The old town is also very interesting to look around and there are a lot of good places to eat.

Das Schloss Braunfels liegt auf einer Basaltkuppe westlich des Luftkurortes Braunfels im mittelhessischen Lahn-Dill-Kreis. Seit dem 13. Jahrhundert ist es Sitz der Grafen von Solms und befindet sich noch im 21. Jahrhundert im Familienbesitz der Grafen von Oppersdorff zu Solms-Braunfels.
