MOTHER Normal and MOTHER Heroic Uldir guide! This Uldir MOTHER guide will show you the MOTHER abilities that you'll see in the Normal, Heroic and LFR versions of the MOTHER fight. Mythic MOTHER has additional mechanics not shown in this Normal and Heroic MOTHER guide.

MOTHER Tank Guide: The main tank mechanic of the Uldir MOTHER fight is Sanitizing Strike, which is a frontal cone attack with a substantial cast time. On the beta tanks were able to avoid the Sanitizing Strike entirely by side-stepping out of it, which may not be intended. If that is fixed and you must take the Sanitizing Strike in the MOTHER Uldir fight on live BfA servers, then you'll need to swap with the other tank on 2-3 stacks of Sanitizing Strike. It's fairly infrequent so you may even be able to swap on 1 Sanitizing Strike stack.

The MOTHER fight is centered around the sanitation chambers that you fight this Uldir boss in. There are three chambers separated by Defense Grids. When MOTHER is in a chamber, she builds it's energy bar and at full energy the chamber will be filled with lethal fire. Throughout the fight, the raid needs to move through the chambers in a controlled manner. When a player passes through the Defense Grid into the next chamber it causes raid damage and spawns an add, so both the pace and order of passing through is important to consider.

Other mechanics of the MOTHER fight on normal and Heroic difficulty include Purifying Flames (step out of the swirls), Wind Tunnel, (fight against the pushback) and interrupting the Clinging Corruption that the Remant of Corruption adds cast. On the second chamber onwards MOTHER enables the Uldir Defensive Beams. Pass through the beam wall in the clear safe spot- don't try to slip between the bars.
