Volcanoes come in many different shapes and sizes. From cinder cones to lava domes, the province of British Columbia has many types to explore. We look at how a volcano works and the different types of eruptions and forms they take.

Driving past a stratavolcano near Vancouver through the cascade volcanic arc zone to Hedley B.C. The Nickel Plate and Mascot Mines are lode gold or hard rock mines. We tour the museum and learn more about them.

A look at the history of the Crowsnest Highway 3 and the basics of volcanoes as well as the geography of the volcanic belt. Understanding the distribution and formation of lode gold deposits and how it relates to volcanic activity.
