Simla was Ed Kazmirski's last model, used in the 1965 competition season. Basically, it was a 1.5 scaled-up Taurus 2, even with the same wing loading. It was a bit short of power with the engines of the time, so it had to be kept light and flown with momentum to be competitive.
In a project in the RC Universe Classic Pattern forum, the model was reconstructed from pictures. It was built in the REFLEX XTR model flight simulator to test-fly it before building real copies.
The video shows some basic patterns, just to show the model's (not the pilot's) abilities even with the small .61 engine.
