The delete line segment feature allows users to remove a segment from a line or linestring, specifically in a CAD polyline. Users can identify segments within the polyline and choose which portion they wish to delete. The process involves using the delete line segment command found on the CAD tab. Once the command is selected, it prompts the user to pick the linestring, which can be automatically selected if already chosen. Upon selecting the desired segment, it is deleted, and the user is prompted to select the linestring again if further deletions are needed. This process effectively separates the line into distinct linestrings by removing the unwanted segment.
