Toronto mayor candidate Anthony Furey pledges - that if elected in the upcoming June 26 city byelection - he will hire 500 new Toronto police officers to combat crime in the city and to shut down safe-injection sites. This comes in the wake of stabbing death that took place on Fri, May 12 near the Victoria St. health care centre.
